A couple of years later, the SLK280 joined the lineup, providing 228 hp and a 3.0L V6. Mercedes-Benz added the SLK350 to the roster, which meant a 3.5L V6 (268 hp and 258 pounds-per-foot of torque).

The bumper cover had a superficial crack in one edge which wasn't seen during initial inspection.
Bondo reinforced the area around the crack. The fiberglass does not bend nearly as much as the 'plastic' OEM bumper cover so it is much more difficult to get the structural members to fit into it. The screen covers over the air intake openings did not allow the structural members to fit into the cover.
These had to be removed so the original items would fit. We painted the bumper before fitting it which was a mistake. It needed to have some minor grinding done to fit the upper fender seam on the passenger side. But fitting it, then painting would double the time to install.
It looked acceptable, once in place.
