I have been doing some looking for a chore tractor and I have seen several of these for sale. They are much cheaper than most so I figure there has to be a catch. So can anyone tell me the good or bad about them?
Parts hard to get? Are they just a cheap pile of junk? Are they fuel efficient?
Hydraulics are they weak compared to what most 'big' brands are? Most I seem to find are in from the early 80's. I did do a little look up on them and it seems that White, Massey and Allis Chalmers (basically the AGCO brands ) had used them as their own models from time to time in the 80's.
I think that is right. Don't know wether that makes them good or bad though. Basically just looking for a chore tractor in the 50 HP range to do some hay field work and other odd and end jobs that don't require 150 HP. Thanks in advance for any help.

All of these are Iseki built tractors. All of them are front assist and have loaders on them. Both cousins and the uncle are very happy with their tractors.
They are really handy little tractors. The engines seem to be indestructible and will start good in cold weather.
I don't know if they ever have any problems getting parts but I do know that some of the parts are rather spendy, but maybe thats an AGCO thing and not necessarily an Iseki thing. The hyd are actually quite good considering that these are 25 yr old tractors. Hopefully Pudding will reply, he seems to know a fair amount about these.
