The Rio by Kia is a subcompact vehicle launched into production in 2000 and marketed in numerous countries nowadays. This front-wheel drive model comes available in three, four and five-door body styles. In 2010, the exterior of the Kia Rio was refreshed and the front fascia was equipped with the corporate 'tiger nose' grille. The latest generation of the Rio is powered by a 1.2, 1.4 or a 1.6 L gasoline inline-four engine mated to a four-or six-speed gearbox. The diesel version of the Rio features a 1.1 or 1.4 L U-line engine. The performance-oriented version, known as the Rio GT, features a turbocharger.
