The Mercedes E-Class, original known as the Einspritzmotor, which means fuel-injected engine in the Germany language, made its debut in the 1930s, although the E-Class name did not show up until 1994. There are several internal codes for the E-Class, including W124, W210, W211 and W212. The car is available as a coupe, sedan, convertible and wagon. There are several model configurations, including the E220, E200, E320, E350 and E63 — the AMG performance version. The diesel model is known as the E-Class CDI.
